Mobilizing equipment and cargo into Alaska from Seattle or transporting cargo within Alaska can be a daunting task for clients. Bowhead’s tug and barge service transports project-based cargo into multiple Alaska ports including Seward, Dutch Harbor, Bethel, and Nome. With an 8,000 Ton capacity, 18,000 square feet of deck space, and a Manitowoc 4,100 crane on deck, the Bowhead barge is capable of mobilizing cargo, equipment, vehicles, modular camps, and just about anything else you can think of into mainline ports or remote locations. 

Utilizing our barging service in conjunction with our Bowhead fleet of lightering vessels, we can also deliver direct to most communities on the Kuskokwim River and the other outlying coastal communities in Southcentral Alaska, Aleutians, and Western Alaska.
