Built in 2014, the M/V Unalaq is a specialized vessel operating as a common carrier shallow-draft landing craft. We added this vessel to our fleet to facilitate our more challenging, remote projects and lighterage operations. The nearly 5,000 square feet of deck cargo space combined with the ability to support 1,000 pounds per square foot makes this vessel ideal for heavy-duty transportation into remote areas or coastal communities. When combined with our all-terrain Volvo 220 forklift loader and Hitachi 110 Excavator, the Unalaq is a powerful tool in our lineup of vessels.

In addition to its impressive freight capacity, the M/V Unalaq has comfortable sleeping quarters and live-aboard accommodations for its crew in four Staterooms and up to 10 guests/passengers in five guest Staterooms. It features a commercial galley with dining, a full kitchen (with onboard chef services as requested), plenty of storage space, and room to stretch your legs. Bowhead Transport is proud to offer our flagship vessel for the safe transportation of your cargo and crew.
